Splitter have two types,one is PLC,another is FBT(coupler),what is the difference?
1.Their ratio difference.
PLC ratio is average,each output ratio is the same,for example,1×2 ways each output ratio is 50%(50:50),1×4 ways each ouput ratio is 25%(25:25:25:25).
FBT ratio can be freely combined,for example,1×2 ways ratio can be 1:99,2:98,30:70,50:50 and so on.
2.Their power difference.
FBT can work over high power than PLC.
3.Their cost difference.
For Single Fiber,average ratio,1×4,1×8,1×16,1×32,1×64 ways,suggest PLC to get lower cost.1×2 ways,1×3 ways,1×5 ways,1×6 ways,suggest FBT.
For multi mode fiber,suggest FBT.
